1. SOCIALIZATION
By enrolling your child in Jungle Book Academy you are providing them with a space to practice making new friends, being part of a team and playing well with others. We will also help guide their communication skills, teach them problem-solving, compromise and conflict-resolution techniques and encourage them to demonstrate cooperation, inclusion and compassion.
2. OUTDOOR PLAY
We believe in the value of outdoor education. Being outdoors allows students time to explore the world from a different perspective. It shows them how to be aware of the space they’re in and understand the concept of “cause and effect” as they see what happens when they get pushed on a swing. By spending a lot of time outside, students also learn to appreciate the environment because they have firsthand knowledge of plants and animals.
3. GROSS & FINE MOTOR SKILLS
At Jungle Book Academy (Summer Camp) we offer opportunities for students to strengthen their gross and fine motor skills by swinging, climbing, running outside and playing with balls in a safe and supervised outdoor space. We also provide materials, such as beads, glue, paint and loose parts that encourage dexterity in the hands of your little ones.
