My name is Krysta and I am the creator and educator at Jungle Book Academy.

 

I have had the privilege of working at the Toronto District School Board (TDSB) since 2015. I have taught all grades through K-6. However, my heart lies in Kindie. There is just something about being apart of a young learners first years in the classroom, that makes it so special.

From my years working with the TDSB, I observed a few gaps and needs that just weren't being addressed, mostly due to the large classroom sizes. Despite the core teachers best efforts, I noticed that students were continuously falling through the cracks. Beginning in kindergarten. When a strong educational foundation is not set in the first few years of academia, the child becomes at risk for learning gaps. We all want to see our children succeed and having a solid foundation in early learning is critical for that. In fact, a strong early learning foundation is the ladder to ensure a future where they can adapt and thrive.

 

For these reasons, I was determined to start my own educational facility and Jungle Book was born! I wanted to create a space that was small in ratio, inclusive in culture, and full of love. And I am excited to share that love with your little ones.
