FAQS
HOW MANY CHILDREN CAN BE IN A POD?
We believe in the countless benefits of small classroom sizes. To achieve these benefits, our pods have a low ratio of 5 students to 1 teacher.
WHAT ARE YOUR SAFETY GUIDELINES FOR WEARING MASKS?
According to the Ontario Ministry of Health, it is currently, not mandatory for Kindergarten students to wear masks. That being said, we do encourage mask wearing by adults in our spaces. Students are not required to wear masks outdoors, which is where majority of our time will be spent.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
WHAT IS A KINDERGARTEN POD?
AND DO YOU REMAIN OPEN?
Amidst the recent COVID-19 pandemic, all range of learning pods and micro schools have become increasingly popular. Our pod offers an alternative to mainstream education that some families might choose to pursue. Essentially, it is a small group of students who learn together outside the classroom, but still in person.

One large benefit of our pod is that we fall under the classification of the Ontario Day Nurseries Act and are permitted to stay open during most lock downs and closures.
Our program is $60 for the day. It is important to note that we run on a school day schedule from 9am-3pm. We require 10 post dated cheques to secure your child's spot in our pod.
WHAT SHOULD I SEND MY CHILD TO JBA WITH?
At Jungle Book Academy (JBA), parents/guardians are required to send their child with lunch each day, in a container that helps their child practice opening and closing it. JBA will provide snacks. All snacks will be planed with allergy or dietary restrictions in mind.

In addition, we also ask that you send your child with the following three items, all of which are to be kept at JBA:
-
an extra change of clothing
-
we love to get messy! Both in nature and with artistic and scientific experiments.
-
-
indoor shoes
-
in addition to your child's regular street shoes, we ask that you send them with a pair of indoor shoes as well.
-
-
rest time necessities
-
any items that you think would make your child have a successful rest time are welcomed.
-
examples of this may include: a special blanket, a stuffed animal, etc.
-
-
a refillable, reusable and labelled plastic water bottle
-
we ask that you avoid sending your child with a glass water bottle as accidents do happen.
-
